Catch up

I've been trying to catch up with my backlog of magazines this week and made good use of the weather on a couple of days to be outside, knowing that the weekend is meant to be wet (and it has been today).  The robins nesting in the shed have hatched an the parents are busy finding food all day.  One of them came very close to where I was sitting to have a bath in the dish left for the birds.  There have been a lot of sparrows  in the garden too, chirruping away.  They are such cheeky and lively birds they are a joy to be around.

Euphonix had their last concert before the summer break on Wednesday in All Saints Parish Church, Kingston.  The accoustics there are so good!  The concert went well and we had a good sized audience.  We sang a Macedonian song Shto mi e milo, This Little Light of Mine, Hallelujah, I Love Her So, Bursting Through (Bic Runga), Something Inside So Strong (Labi Siffre), She Moved Through The Fair (Irish folk song) and One Day Like This (Elbow). The song by Elbow took some getting used as it's quite complex but I ended up liking it a lot.  This is  Elbow on You Tube singing the song.  Ours was an adaptation with harmonies in the verses but very like this nonetheless.
