Olympics......a evening at Wembley Stadium

Wembley Stadium
Going to Wembley Stadium on Wednesday evening was awesome.  It's SO big and my immediate reaction to seeing the inside was WOW!  We were 16 rows back from the front just left of one of the goals. Great views.  The game was between Gabon and Korea.  We were supporting Korea and borrowed my youngest son's flag! It ended in a 0-0 draw. Korea were the better side, good ball movement and passing but just couldn't finish.  Team GB are due to play them next and I feel we should beat them if we get our shots on target!

The experience was wonderful and the time flew by.  Again, praise for everyone involved. At the finish nearly 77,000 people all headed for the tube.  I have never been in such a huge crowd - a sea of people from the stadium to the station.  It was policed well (I guess they are used to it there with so many events being held regularly at the stadium).  I loved the Police horses!  We all walked calmly and then we would be stopped for five or ten minutes, then we would walk some more.  It was stop, start but then finally we were at the station.  Once on the platform we were at the front, no pushing, not overcrowded (amazingly) and we even got a seat!  Here are a few photos.
