Last visit to the Olympic Park last evening. Back to see more womens hockey (USA -v- New Zealand and Germany -v- Argentina). Yesterday was known as Super Saturday and it was very, very busy. Having said that everything ran smoothly, transport was busier but we let one tube go and the next was less busy. This time I did queue for the free drinking water! Wonderful evening, especially as night fell and the moon came up over the Basketball Arena which has been nicknamed 'The Mattress'. Everything looked lovely. With batteries starting to fail in my camera I had to conserve energy but it held on until we left and then died!
We also made it into the 2012 shop because they were about to close so it was empty. Coming home we even got a seat on the tube but it was a late night and didn't get in until nearly 1.00am!
