This week has been all about catch-up, mainly with friends and our diaries. Planning and agreeing dates for trips can get tricky when you are working around everything else in life. Over the next couple of days there was much texting back and forth as bookings for day trips and accommodation for longer trips were put into place. There is a lot coming up in the next few months, which is exciting. It helps to take ones mind off the horrid weather which seems to be either cold or wet...or both! It's raining again this morning.
So, this week's blog is looking back on some of of the photos I've taken over the years during some of my walks. I always hope to get the perfect shot, but often that doesn't happen. Sometimes it's about being in the right place at the right time, and sometimes it is all random, unexpected, or chasing a shot for it never to happen or being a complete failure. I wouldn't call myself a nature photographer. I don't have the equipment for one, and camping out in a field in the cold for hours is more likely to result in the medical services having to intervene! My photography is down to my mobile phone and a bridge camera. The latter gets taken out on special trips when my plan is for photography rather than a trip out exploring, though sometimes the two come together.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy these photos. Despite the weather (please stop raining!), the days are lengthening, trees are budding and spring bulbs are pushing up. Colour will flood us soon and I hang on to that and for the warmth of sun on my skin. I shall be a happy bunny then!
