Map of Birmingham Jigsaw |
When I was ten years old, a teacher said to mum that 'Heather can write about anything'. Let's see if that's true because I have to admit I have very little to write about this week. I have been to Solihull, but that was to my cousin's house which I am still clearing after she died last year, and I did go to a play on Friday night, but the review for that is for my writing blog, but I will tell you it was part of the Camden Fringe Festival and written and acted by a friend from my 'writing world'.
Apart from that I have been sitting on the sofa watching tennis and putting together a jigsaw of a map of Birmingham. Even though I know Birmingham a little, it does not help with the jigsaw. I've never taken so long over one before. It's tricky, but my youngest son and his wife have completed it, so I'm determined to finish it.
Going to Camden on Friday reminded me how much there is to see there. I once did a walk there with a group looking at street art. It changes all the time, so what I saw years ago has probably been painted over by now. There is also Camden Market and the canal and lock to explore. A really interesting place.
Next week I will have lots to write about as this morning I'm meeting a friend as we set off to Stratford-upon-Avon for a joint 70th birthday mini break in the world of Shakespeare. So, forgive me for such a short blog post this week and enjoy some photos from my garden and my favourite little buddy.
