Level 42 at the London Palladium

Level 42

It makes a change to see a big band at a smaller venue where you don't need a big screen to view tiny figures on a stage.

I'd not been to the London Palladium before. Opened in 1910 by Frank Matcham, it became the place for TV's Sunday Night at the London Palladium where big stars performed. I liked it. We were in the stalls, but the upstairs bar and facilities were quieter and no queue for the loo!

There were two support acts. I didn't know the first (Marlee), but the second was Rochford, who I had heard of and they were good.

The evening was kept to time and at 9pm Level 42 walked on and played for almost two hours. They played all their hits: Lessons in Love, Running in the Family, Something About You and Leaving Me Now. I wasn't so familiar with some of their songs, but no matter.

It was a good evening. A bit of singing and bopping!
