This is a quick post with few photos. I just happened to be in London last night for The Booker Prize Readings and I took a few shots of life along by the Southbank.
My boys used to love skateboarding, so I tried a few shots where all the skateboarders meet, but I didn't have the time to get my eye in, so they are rather blurred. Apologies. My youngest son was the real skateboarder. He and his friend would go off to the DFS carpark to skate, and other places with rails and steps. It's probably best I didn't know what they were doing because I'd have had my heart in my mouth. My son bought a ramp and rail and used to skate in the road outside our house (only emergency vehicles could get out at the end we were, so no real traffic). My youngest had no fear. My elder son began filming his brother and his friends and then editing the film with music. He was really talented at that. I remember watching endless videos of Tony Hawk and extreme sport events on TV with my kids.
Through my kids I got into watching BMX bikes too. This led on to enjoying snowboarding at the Olympics. You'd never catch me on a board, but I love watching.
