I like all sorts of music but one of my favourtite classical pieces can be heard at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v2GRHPM4hCI This is so moving - enjoy!
Saw a great programme on TV the other night about the artist David Hockney. He was the first artist I really noticed and a couple of years ago I went to a great exhibition where a lot of his art was on view. His photographic collage was a surprise because I wasn't aware he'd done anything like that. I really liked that. The programme followed his life in the last couple of years as he came back to Yorkshire from LA and began painting the Yorkshire landscapes. He did some huge paintings using eight canvasses and produced an even bigger painting for the Royal Acadamy. It was a fascinating programme, showing Hockney actually painting and how he went about it. I love his landscapes. After the programme it was said that there were some free downloads available for 48 hours on the internet. These are known as 'phone art'. Finally, a poem.
Hot
Too hot to hoover carpets
Too hot to flick the dust
Too hot to shake the duvet

Or find a shady spot
Blow the world of housework
It's just to bloody hot!
