Woke up to snow this morning. I was so excited that I wanted to run around the house and into everyone's bedroom shouting 'It's snowing!' but my kids probably wouldn't have appreciated it. Shame because by the time they would have got up it had all gone.
As for me, it was out of the house to a final rehearsal with Euphonix in a very cold church before our lunchtime concert in The Rose Theatre Cafe. All that singing around the house paid off as I'm word perfect now and our songs were very appropriate today, especially the 'Die Hard' special - Let It Snow! We also sang Here We Come a-Waasailing, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, The Snow It Melts, Silent Night (first verse in German), Perfect Day, Good King Wenceslas, It's The Most Wonderful Time of the Year and a Finnish Reindeer Song which our MD taught to the audience - great fun with everyone singing together. He sprang that one on us in the concert and luckily we came up to the mark! We had our band (piano, bass and drums) plus an accordion player. It all sounded good and was great fun to do.
A friend of mine and my eldest son came along and both enjoyed it. We have to do it all again twice next week. Next venue is Waterloo Station concourse on Monday at 1pm! Then the next evening we are in The Rose Theatre charity concert.
