Poppies at the Tower of London

After several negative moans from people who said it was too busy and they couldn't see a thing, I was a little worried about a trip to London to see the poppies around the Tower of London. I went with hubby and friends of ours. We had a wonderful day!

Yes it was very busy but we decided not to queue to walk down the pathway because we got great views from over the wall. We couldn't see there would be any benefit in going on the lower path unless you were lucky enough to be by the railings. We were all very happy with the photos we got and it looked brilliant. When you see that many poppies and realise every one represents someone who died it brings it home to you how many lost their lives. It's actually unbelievable to see the scale of it.

Later we walked to St Katherine's Dock to have hot drinks in a cafe there. As we walked back the crowd hadn't let up. Here are a few of the photos I took:
