A quick look at Solihull

Solihull Shopping Centre

Solihull is a leafy suburb of the city of Birmingham, which is just a few miles away by bus. I was there visting a relative back in September, but found time to wander around the main shopping centre. The town centre has some nice old buildings and a rather lovely church. From London you can travel from Marylebone station (a smaller and rather cosy terminus) and miss out busy Birmingham altogether.

The weather wasn't the best when I was there, and I'm sure there is more to see, but I just didn't have time. Have a look at Visit Solihull for more ideas.

St Alphage Church

War Memorial

St Alphage Church has a warm atmosphere and the members very welcoming.

Celebrating harvest

There is a nice page on the heritage of Solihull on the Visit Solihull page. Here is a direct link. If you want more information about the town's history please click here.
