The choir I sing with had it's end of term concert yesterday in the cafe at The Rose Theatre where we rehearse. I think this was one of our best concerts todate. There was one minor slip but we covered it well and our MD was really pleased with us. We sang some world music, including a song in Macedonian which built up to a climax in the last verse with stamping feet and a shout of HEY! at the end. We aced it! We also included 'Sillivan Street' by a group called Counting Crows and a Labi Sifri number 'Something Inside So Strong' to end with and again we performed it so well. Another song, 'Freedon Is Coming' began with a great solo by one or our basses and then taken over by our MD. We did the responses and our MD (who loves to just 'throw things in the mix' to keep is on our toes) added a line we'd never done before but like true professionals we came through.
