'Chesil Beach' - a book review

Just finished reading Chesil Beach by Ian McEwan.  I've never read any of his books before but I really enjoyed this.  Though only a short book there is a lot of depth.  A young couple marry and it's the night of the honeymoon when all their hopes, expectations, fears and dreads come to the surface.  The book is set in the early 1960's and most of the story happens over that one evening with back story to the characters' lives, family and upbringing and how the two met.  It is very believable and quite sad.  Having read this I think I might read another book by Ian McEwan, maybe Atonement, which is perhaps his most famous.
